When most Trinity College students went somewhere warm to get a great tan during Spring Break, I decided to do something a little different. I headed to New Orleans, LA along with about 700 other college students for the first Clinton Global Initiative University Conference (CGIU).
0 CommentsIslam Awareness Week and Caribbean Heritage week were held on campus from March 24 to March 28. While Trinity tries to promote cultural acceptance of all cultures, two of them stood out this past week: the Islamic and Caribbean cultures. Each had its own unique way of raising awareness and shedding light on the different practices and what sets it apart from other cultures.
0 CommentsOn Wednesday, March 26, reproductive rights activist Loretta Ross kicked off what will hopefully be an annual event, a Black Women's Speaker Series called "Rage and Reason." Visiting Assistant Professor of History and American Studies Professor Stephanie Gilmore, with the help of Dean Karla Spurlock Evans, Director of the Women & Gender Resource Action Center Laura Lockwood, and funding from various academic departments created the Series after being inspired by her Social Women Activism students.
